When I first came to Canada, I had to work several retail jobs in malls. It was difficult at first, but then I was able to land a part time job at CKJS radio station as a sit-in for Lito Taruc. After working as Lito Taruc's sit-in part-time at CKJS for two years, Chester was promoted. In 2003, he was made CKJS's Production Manager, and is also a morning announcer, a position he continues to fulfill today.

“Ang mapapayo ko lang sa mga kababayan natin na bagong dating o mga permanent resident to continue striving sa gusto nyo marating kasi land of opportunity naman dito... everything is possible. If it is required to go back to school or upgrade gawin po natin kasi you have to adapt to the system. One thing for sure, diligence will pay off. Lastly, it is true that we have to get into the Canadian mindset but at the same time, let us do our best to preserve our legacy as Filipinos. Nothing and nobody can ever take that away from us. Mabuhay po tayong lahat.”, says Chester Pangan of Good Morning Philippines, CKJS 810 am radio station.
